Steve BelmontÕs new book, ÒCities in FullÓ spotlights and assails contemporary urban policy. He argues that discussions about smart growth Ð especially its focus on suburban development Ð get in the way of a more fundamental task: revitalizing cities. Steve is a principal in his own firm in Minneapolis.
Randy Shortridge is an architect and urban designer in the Los Angeles office of RTKL. He recently completed design work on Mockingbird Station, an award winning, transit-oriented mixed-use development in Dallas.
