About the Show

John Alderman has been covering online music since the MP3 phenomenon first gathered steam. He is the author of ÒSonic Boom: Napster, MP3 and the New Pioneers of Music.Ó John lives in San Francisco, but we caught up with him in Toyko where he is playing with his band, Three Day Stubble.

Anne Margulies is the executive director of the Massachusetts Institute of TechnologyÕs OpenCourseWare initiative. This is not her first assignment in academia. From 1988 to 1998, Anne held information technology positions at Harvard University, including serving as assistant provost.

Before her appointment last Spring to her post at MIT, Anne was chief operating officer at FH-GPC, a government relations, public affairs and communications consulting firm.
