About the Show

Yvonne Johnston is the CEO of the International Marketing Council of South Africa. The organization was formed in August, 2000, by the South African government, to create a positive and united image of South Africa. Yvonne is leading the effort to establish a brand for South Africa that positions the country appealingly to investors, tourists and its own citizens.

Chris Murray is the author of "Making Sense of Place: New Approaches to Place Marketing" and the new director of partnerships at Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment in the UK. Chris is concerned that the way we design, inhabit and promote the places we live should be more closely connected.

Chris has lectured and presented widely on these issues, working as consultant to a number of regeneration projects in the UK.
