About the Show

Dr. David Tuerck is a professor and chairman of the Suffolk University Department of Economics and head of theÊBeacon Hill Institute.

Dr. Tuerck is an authority on public policy issues including state tax policy and analysis, welfare reform and the economics of regulation. He has made more than 100 television and radio appearances and has testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Labor and Human Resources, Subcommittee on Children and Families, as well as various committees of the Massachusetts legislature.

Doug Henton has more than 20 years of experience in economic development at the national, regional, state, and local levels. Doug is nationally recognized for his work in bringing industry, government, education, research, and community leaders together around specific collaborative projects to improve regional competitiveness.

Doug foundedÊCollaborative Economics in July 1993 after a decade as assistant director of SRI International's Center for Economic Competitiveness. At SRI, Doug directed major projects on the economic future of Hong Kong, the technopolis strategy in Japan, and regional development in China.
