About the Show

Judy Corbett is the founder and for the past 22 years has served as Executive Director of the Local Government Commission. She holds an MS in Ecology from the University of California and was co-developer of the highly-acclaimed Village Homes, a model for sustainable development. Corbett has co-authored three books on resource efficient land use and building design, and published over 50 policy guidebooks for local government officials on topics ranging from hazardous waste reduction, recycling, energy conservation and resource-efficient land use patterns. A recent recipient of a German Marshall Fund fellowship, she was named by Time Magazine as a "Hero for the Planet."

Victor Dover is a principal with Dover Kohl & Partners Town Planning, in South Miami, Florida. He serves as principal-in-charge for many of the firm's design and planning projects, and is responsible for most presentations. He has led more than 60 charrettes. Victor lectures widely around the nation on the topics of livable communities and sustainable development. He is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners, a member of the American Planning Association, and a charter member of the Congress for the New Urbanism. He earned a Master of Architecture in Suburb & Town Design from the University of Miami.
