About the Show

Skip Rutherford is President of the William J. Clinton Presidential Foundation. HeÕs also Executive Vice President and Director of Public Policy for CJRW OutMarketing, a Little Rock-based communications firm that is the largest in the region.

Skip was one of ClintonÕs original backers, but chose to stay in Arkansas rather than relocate to D. C. HeÕs now at the helm of the Clinton library and museum project that is changing the face of downtown Little Rock. Skip also teaches a course at the University of Arkansas called ÒPolitics and the Press.Ó

Dale Bumpers was elected to the Senate in 1974 where served four terms as a Democratic Senator from Arkansas. Before joining the U.S. Senate, Dale served two terms as Governor of Arkansas.

Before entering politics, he lived in his hometown of Charleston, Arkansas, where he was, as the title of his memoir says, the best lawyer in a one-lawyer town. During World II, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and he is married to his high school sweetheart, the former Betty Flanagan of Charleston.
