Jon Berry is co-author of the book, "The Influentials: One American in Ten Tells the Other Nine How to Vote, Where to Eat, and What to Buy." Jon is vice president of Roper ASW and senior research director of Roper Reports, which for 30 years has been tracking consumer trends. Jon is the former marketing editor of Business Week, features editor and columnist for Brand Week and San Francisco bureau manager for Adweek.

Joseph Hughey is Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Missouri - Kansas City. He is also Associate Dean, College of Arts & Sciences. He is co-author of The Community Organization Sense of Community Scale (COSCS) that measures the sense of community among members and affiliates of community organizations - a way to think about social capital.
