Daryl Davis is the town founder, along with her husband Robert, of Seaside, Florida. Located in the Florida Panhandle, Seaside is one of the most talked about communities in America. It was founded in 1981on an 80-acre tract of land. Daryl has shaped Seaside is almost every way. But most notable are her contributions to the retail and restaurant mix. Her skills as a retailer come from studying customers carefully and tending to her own needs. Daryl and Robert and their son Micah split their time between San Francisco and Seaside.
Chris Leinberger is a land use strategist and developer who combines an understanding of business realities and concern for social and environmental issues. He is a founding partner of Arcadia Land Company. Dedicated to land stewardship and building a sense of community, Arcadia has a unique relationship with The Conservation Fund, a national environmental organization. The firm has developments in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, Lancaster, Pa., LaGrange, Ga., Independence, Mo., and Albuquerque, N.M., in addition to Seaside.
Arcadia's projects are introducing a number of innovations to real estate, including new design, financial, partnership and affordable housing approaches. Chris is an adjunct professor at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University and the University of New Mexico regarding progressive development and strategic planning. He makes his home in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
