About the Show

Richard Carson is an urban theorist, writer and practicing planner with over 25 years experience in the Pacific Northwest states of Oregon and Washington. He was the director of METRO (the Portland area's regional government with jurisdiction more than a million people) and acting city manager/director of Community Development for Oregon City. He is a member of the Mayor's Growth Management Committee for Portland, Oregon.

Richard maintains the American Planning Association's Planning Publications website and is the Urban Studies editor for Zeal/LookSmart, the Web's largest Internet directory.

Radhika K. Fox is a Senior Program Associate at PolicyLink where she leads initiatives on equitable development and regional equity. Analyzing and synthesizing successful community building strategies in place around the country, she contributes to the Equitable Development Toolkit and develops training. Radhika also contributes to the Community Building in the Digital Age project. Prior to joining PolicyLink, she was a HUD Community Development Fellow. Radhika holds a B.A. from Columbia University and a Masters in City and Regional Planning from the University of California, Berkeley.
