Ben Cameron is executive director of the Theatre Communications Group, the national organization for the American theatre. Its mission is to strengthen, nurture and promote the not-for-profit professional American theatre. TCG has more than 425 theatre members in 47 states, and 17,000 individual members.
Before coming to TCG, Ben was Senior Program Officer with the Dayton Hudson Foundation in Minneapolis, then joined Target Stores as Manager of Community Relations. His responsibilities included the supervision of a $51 million national giving program, embracing grant giving in arts, education and social action; cause marketing and volunteerism. From 1988-92, he worked at the National Endowment for the Arts, where he served as Director of the Theater Program.
,b>Stephanie S. Hughley was appointed the Executive Producer of the National Black Arts Festival in July of 1999. She is responsible for creating and developing the unique artistic programs of the Festival and the day-to-day operations of the organization. Stephanie returned to Atlanta from Newark, New Jersey where she was Vice President of Programming at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
Before going to New Jersey, Stephanie was the Theatre and Dance Producer for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games Cultural Olympiad. Prior to her move to Atlanta, she was the General Manager of the Negro Ensemble Company in New York. While there she mounted and supervised twelve original productions as well as four national and international tours.
