About the Show

Sheila Daniels is Program Director for the Center for Commercial Revitalization sponsored by the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, better known as LISC. Although the Center was only formed this past May, it builds on builds on the lessons learned from the Neighborhood Main Street Initiative. Sheila was with that program since its inception, working in Tacoma, Richmond, Oakland, Philadelphia, and 30 other cities to re-imagine the commercial opportunities in Americas older neighborhoods.

Micheline Maynard reports on the automobile and airline industries for the New York Times and has written for Fortune, USA Today, Newsday and U.S. News and World Report. She is the author of the just released book The End of Detroit: How the Big Three Lost Their Grip on the American Market.
