About the Show

Dr. Ken Ford is founder and director of the at the University of West Florida.

Dr. Ford is the author of more than one hundred scientific papers and five books. His research interests include: artificial intelligence, cognitive science, human-centered computing, and entrepreneurship in government and academia. He developed and served as director of NASA's Center of Excellence in Information Technology at the Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley.

Evan Carton is Director of the University of Texas Humanities Institute. The Institute was formed to support the interdisciplinary, extracurricular pursuit of arts and humanities in partnership with schools and citizens - on campus and off. It was Evan who came up with the idea for Writing Austin's Lives, a project we'll talk to him about on the show. With Evan is Deb Kelt. Deb authored "South Austin Morning Meditation," one of the many stories contributed to Writing Austin's Lives.
