Dr. Donald Miller is a professor of history at Lafayette College.Ê He is the author of five books, including the highly acclaimed Lewis Mumford:Ê A Life and the best-selling City of the Century: The Epic of Chicago and the Making of America.Ê Don writes for the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, American Heritage and other major American publications and has been a script writer or consultant for more than a dozen Public Television documentaries.Ê He was the lead scholar for last years popular telecourse, A Biography of America and is currently completing a book on the Civil War.
