Dr. Robert Cialdini is Regents Professor of Psychology at Arizona Sate University.Ê He has held Visiting Scholar Appointments at Ohio State University, the University of California, the Annenberg School of Communications, and the Graduate School of Business of Stanford University.Ê He has also been elected President of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology.Ê
His book, Influence: Science and Practice, is the result of years of study into the reasons that people comply with requests in business settings. It has sold over a quarter million copies in nine languages.
Dr. Cialdini is the most frequently cited living social psychologist in the world.
Kevin Roper puts his persuasion skills to work daily as Vice President for Marketing, Advancement and Government Relations at the University of Memphis.Ê He has almost doubled the universitys annual giving in two years, and recently completed its first capital campaign, raising $83 million.
Last week, Kevin Roper was given the Crystal Award for outstanding development professional by the Memphis Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.Ê
