About the Show

The Creative Lewisham Agency is the result of a culture and urban development study by Charles Landry for this London borough. The agency aspires to make Lewisham the best place to be creative in London. It is meant to be a "light-footed organization," acting like an impresario. And at the helm is Andrew Carmichael, sculptor, gallery owner and now the man seeking to help Lewisham reach its full creative potential.

Tad Savinar is a visual artist whose work is in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art and the Smithsonian Institution Archives, as well as the corporate collections of Philip Morris and The Chase Manhattan Bank. He has been commissioned for a number of large-scale public artworks where he has concentrated his work during the past 10 years. He is currently working on the design teams for The Oregon Holocaust Memorial and the memorial for the children and adults who were brutally murdered at Columbine High School in 1999, as well as the Urban Design for the Phoenix Light Rail System. His home is in Portland, Oregon.
