About the Show

Detroit is in the news again with Time Magazine launching a bureau of sorts from the city.  But to get a real local's perspective we'll talk with Katy Locker and David Egner of the Hudson Webber Foundation.  Hudson Webber provides grants to improve the quality of life of the metropolitan Detroit community, and Katy and Dave will tell us about some of the amazing work they're doing to revitalize the city of Detroit.

On the other side of the globe, Mumbai is a city with an exploding population and a housing crisis that is leaving 9 million people without a home.  Prathima Manohar is the founder and Editor in Chief of a blog called "The Urban Vision" that highlights the best practices from around the world and how they can be put to use in cities.
